Malmö Association of Foreign Affairs (Utrikespolitiska Föreningen Malmö—UF Malmö) is a politically and religiously independent non-profit association led by students for students. We organise events such as lectures, workshops, trips and debates all related to global politics and foreign affairs with a particular focus on:
- current international affairs;
- different countries and their respective culture, language, religion, economy, and political and legal systems;
- development related topics such as humanitarian and human rights issues;
- intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations;
- Swedish foreign policy.
You can read about our activities in more detail here.
We are a registered non-governmental organisation, and our activities are financed through institutional foundations.
We strive to create an environment in which our members can grow on an intellectual and on a personal level. We promote mutual understanding and respect between people of all backgrounds. Our operations are based on the principles of human dignity and equality of all human beings, as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights.
We are a part of the Swedish Association of International Affairs (Utrikespolitiska Förbundet Sverige—UFS), the national umbrella organisation of the currently eleven associations of Foreign Affairs in Sweden.
Furthermore, we are a part of the local student union, Studentkåren Malmö.
